Located in Taalovaara, the trail is 1 kilometre long and overlaps with the trail of times past, stopping by the Kellostapuli fell. There are many folk tales about the great shaman Päiviö. Some of the tales in the signposts relate to the area around Taalovaara and Kellostapuli fell.
Good hiking shoes are recommended, since parts of the trail go over rocky ground. This path also opens up to some beautiful local scenery.
Author’s recommendation
A good shorter trail for those wanting to get a taste of nature trails in the area, and a great way to learn about local folklore.
