From Bad Hindelang to Lake Garda via the Tiefenbachferner, the Similaun Hut, the Rabbijoch and through the Val Agola
This Alpine crossing takes us in seven stages from Bad Hindelang to Riva del Garda. We start in the beautiful Allgäu and drive first to the Tannheimer Tal, the gateway to Tyrol. Highlights of this tour are the ascent to the Tiefenbachferner and the ride up to over 3000 m to the Similaun Hut. Here we are very close to the place where the famous glacier mummy "Ötzi" was found. Then fantastic trail descents await us on this alpine crossing, which require good riding technique to enjoy. The Niederjoch (Similaun-Hütte) has the reputation of being one of the most difficult descents among the common Transalp passes. The downhill on the old Ponale road down to Riva crowns this Transalp.
