Sandhammaren beach
Here, for example, lies the country's largest ship's cemetery, where the strong current and the underwater sandbanks have been the fate of many a sailor. For the same reason the first sea rescue station was built here, which was in operation from the middle of the 19th century until it moved to Kåseberga in 1945. The Sandhammaren lighthouse and a small museum still remind us of this today.
