Queen's Garden Trail - Bryce Canyon
Die Wanderung auf dem Queens Garden Trail führt uns sowohl am Rand des Bryce Canyons entlang, als auch ein Stück in dessen Tiefe. Ausgehend vom Sunset Point geht es auf gut präparierten Serpentinen zügig in die Tiefe. Wir kommen an zahlreichen sogenannten "hoodoos" vorbei, turmförmigen Gebilden aus Sedimentgestein, die über die Jahrhunderte durch Erosion geformt wurden. Und mit ein bisschen Fantasie sieht man hier eben nicht nur markante Felsen, sondern einen versteinerten Wald, die Silhouette der Londoner Tower Bridge, Thors Hammer und sogar das Ebenbild der Queen Victoria, nach der der Trail benannt wurde.
