Turn-by-turn directions
Turn-by-turn Directions:
Start your beach ride right behind the stable doors of Stuthof. On wide and natural paths, the hoof prints in the forest floor lead you safely and always dead straight towards the water. After 3.5 km you cross a road between Markgrafenheide and Hinrichshagen. Follow the signs in the forest and listen to the sound of the Baltic Sea. You ride along a 2.5 km sandy path directly towards the beach. The beach section or the paths to it are signposted and at one end / beginning of a beach walk you will find a small paddock where your horse can rest in the shade if you want to enjoy the sun and the atmosphere for a moment longer. There are many alternatives for the way back. Either ride back directly, visit the forestry office or the forest and charcoal yard in Wiethagen. If you ride a little further in the direction of Gelbensande, you could take a break at the Meyers Hausstelle forest café or visit the Gelbensande hunting lodge, where you are also welcome with your horse. Before you arrive back at the Stuthof riding stable, you have another opportunity to go into the water on horseback. Use the bathing area at the Schnatermann, which is located directly behind the Schnatermann.
