Kayaking the unique archipelago of Kvarken World Heritage Site
The Kvarken Archipelago is an exciting labyrinth of thousands of islands and some places you can only reach with a canoe or a SUP-board. Imagine how easily you could go over the shallow bays, surrounded by De Geer moraine ridges and rocks. Canoe as silently as you can, and you might meet some of the areas dwellers; white-tailed eagle, whooper swan, otter or seal. More experienced kayakers can choose to go to the light house islands in the outer archipelago, for example Valsörarna islands.
You can spend just a few hours or enjoy several days kayaking this special area. You can find a variety of tent sites and other services in the area (click here to see a map with all the sites & services). There are several companies hiring kayaks and organizing guided kayaking tours. On guided tours you will be able to explore the highlight of the Kvarken Archipelago safely.
