When you arrive, you can hear the sound of the waterfall, that is situated in the beginning of the route. The recommended direction to go is clockwise and at the beginning of the route you walk along the side of the road. After that the route continues, descending to the bottom of the canyon. Along the circular route, there are several wooden stairs to make partly challenging trail easier to hike.
Along the route you will come to the Kokonkallio vantage point and near it a lean-to shelter, where you can make a fire. Continuing the route, you will find remains of the old Lokso dam that broke in 1944. The nature trail section of the route consists of paths and forest roads. After the nature trail section, the route continues along the road, and offers a few nice places with countryside charm to visit.

Safety information

The parking area along the road Korkeakoskentie is the starting point of the route. The route consists of a nature trail section with a length of about 3.5 km and an asphalt section of about 2 km. The total length of the route is 5.5 km. The nature trail section has a forest road, trail sections, and stair climbs.
After the nature trail section, when the route turns right, the asphalt section of the route starts, which is about 2 km long. It goes along the edge of the road to the Korkeakoski car park. At the beginning of the asphalt section is the Kalapuro parking area, which is the second starting point for the Kanjonin kierros and there are also signs for the route.

Equipment
