The area of Lintharju has been described as the hidden gem of the town Suonenjoki. Mountain bike tour Tolmuslampi runs in its boreal forest sceneries. The route is mostly rather easy, but there are some steep hills offering challenge.
The 18 km long Tolmuslampi route runs on paths and small roads. The route is quite smooth and there are no rocky sections. It is marked with yellow paint marks and signs along the route. It is recommended to ride anticlockwise.
You'll find nice rest stops along the way: Palolampi, Onkilampi and Kukkuranlampi.
There are three mountain bike routes in Lintharju area. Besides the Tolmuslampi route you can choose Palolampi route (8 km) or Onkilampi route (15 km). Part of the recreational area of Lintharju belongs to Natura 2000 network.

There are good bus and train connections to Suonenjoki. The distance from the bus and train station to the route is less than 1 km.Getting there
Suonenjoki is situated in the Northern Savo area along the route E63. I you arrive by car, turn from the route E63 following the Suonenjoki signs, and drive toward the town center (keskusta). The lower parking area of the ice hall of Suonenjoki is where the route begins. You can use the address Koulutie 6, and you will find the starting point of the route on the other side of the street.Parking
