Tolle, ruhige Skitour auf einen großartigen Aussichtsberg. Die sonnige Tour kann bei fast allen Verhältnissen begangen werden und auf der Gaiasalpe kann man wunderbar einkehren.

Die kleine Bergkette der Sonnenköpfe trennt das Illertal (Oberstdorf -Sonthofen) und das Retterschwanger Tal (Seitental vonBad Hindelang) mit Ihren drei Gipfel Sonnenkopf, Heidelbeerkopf und Schnippenkopf. Der Name Sonnenköpfe macht seinem Namen alle Ehre und die Aussicht ist in alle Richtungen berauschend. Der Schnippenkopf ist mit seinen 1833 m der höchste der drei Gipfel. Die Skitour ist keine Modetour und führt im unteren Teil entlang der Rodelbahn zur Gaisalpe und im oberen Teil weitgehend über freie Alpflächen. Dazwischen sind ein paar kleine Waldpassagen, welche die Orientierung etwas erschweren. Weitgehend folgt die Tour aber dem Wanderweg, der von der Gaisalpe gerade hinauf führt. Durch die Struktur der Alpflächen kann die Tour bei fast allen Verhältnissen begangen werden.
