Go to Route PlannerSummit panoramas and wild gorges: the Serra de Tramuntana
Those who particularly value altitude, go to the Serra de Tramuntana in the north and northwest of the island. Hikers there climb the Massanella, the second highest peak on the island, which offers magnificent views of the surrounding mountain peaks.
The tour around the Tossals Verds massif is also challenging, leading through wild gorges and over rocky ridges. One of the most beautiful hiking trails is certainly the route through the Barranc de Biniaraix near Sóller.
A little further southwest, Valldemossa is a popular starting point for tours in the Tramuntana Mountains. But not only the location is wonderful, but also the place itself - some claim it is the most beautiful on Mallorca. It's best to see for yourself on your trip!
As a relaxed circular hike with the children, a trip to the Cúber reservoir is worthwhile. In the midst of the magnificent mountain panorama you can let your gaze wander over the blue lake. The Cúber can be reached via the road between Pollença and Sóller. From there, a wide network of hiking trails stretches out, where even experienced hikers will find their challenges.
Unspoiled and rich in species: hikes in the northeast
While most hikers are drawn to the mountainous region of the Serra de Tramuntana, some areas in the east, such as the mountainous region of the Llevante, are almost still considered an insider tip. Here you can find barren hills as well as bizarre rocks and wetlands. The sand dunes at the beach of Cala Agulla are also worth seeing.
The flora and fauna, rich in species, also offer hikers surprises again and again - for example, the almond trees are already blossoming in Mallorca, while snow is still falling in cold Germany.

Coastal walks for the whole family
If you are traveling with the family, you should walk along the coast, because there is not only a lot to discover, but also always a bay where you can jump into the sea to have fun. Not far from Port de Sóller, a beautiful tour leads from Mirador de ses Barques to Cala Tuent through the typical Mediterranean landscape of the island. The slope is not too demanding and therefore suitable for small feet.
In the Parc Natural de la Peninsula de Llevant, a panoramic loop leads through the varied landscape with its rugged cliffs and secluded sandy beaches. On the hike, children can experience the wild nature of Mallorca playfully and up close.
In the south of the island, the Mondragó Nature Park is a wonderful hiking area that is particularly convincing with moderate hikes. Many kilometers of hiking trails lead along the coastline and from time to time to wonderful bathing bays. In addition to sturdy hiking shoes, you should also take your swimwear with you, for example to dive into the water in the bay Caló des Borgit.
