Koitelinkoski is a beautiful place for nature lovers. Koitelinkoski is a natural state rapid area consisting of three islands; Sahasaari, Myllysaari, and Tulisaari. Koitelinkoski, or Koiteli as a local call it, is a popular tourist attraction with strong cultural and historical values which are based on the special features of river basins, rapids, islands, beaches, and nature.
Easy to reach and well-maintained marked trails around the islands and several campfire sites on the islands offers excellent circumstances for a day trip. The bridges connecting the islands are especially popular among children. Firewood is delivered to Koiteli during the summer and also a café Tunnelmatupa serves visitors during the summer.
The Koitelinkoski rapids are also an excellent fishing spot for the whole family.

Getting there
Kiiminki and Koitelinkoski are located only about 25 kilometers from the city of Oulu. From Oulu direction, drive about 20 km on Road Kuusamontie (nr 20). At the traffic lights in the center of Kiiminki, turn towards Ylikiiminki and Koitelinkoski. The sign Koitelinkoski 4 km leads to the destination and the parking place is located on the left side of the road.Parking
