This route offers nice sceneries, whether you are admiring the glimmering lake or the green Tahko hill, that is standing beside the route. You will get the feeling of being in the nature, altough the route runs conveniently in the middle of the services of Tahkolahti area.
The route runs on stable gravel road and across the Tahkolahti bay along a sturdy, 280 meters long pontoon bridge that has safe fences made of metal net. From the bridge it is nice to look at the lake and the beautiful scenery around you. At the point, where boats go under the bridge, the surface is shortly ascenting and descending, but otherwise the route is stable and flat.
There is a campfire site along the route, on Tahkolahti beach. After a nice trip outdoors you can also choose something else to experience by checking the versatile services of Tahko area.
Safety information
The route is not ascending or descending much, and there are no very bumpy spots. Halfway through the pontoon bridge, there is a short ascent and descent, that should be noted especially when using a wheelchair or a walker. If you wish to avoid this section, you can also go back along the road. Along the route there is also another, very short bridge close to the beach. It is possible to go around it, if needed.
The pontoon bridge might be slippery on a wet weather.
