Norppapolku - seal trail, Hiking trail by Lake Saimaa
Norppapolku represents diverse Saimaa lakeland nature and it's geological attraction. Find the forests, challenge yourself, take a deep breath at the viewpoints or dip your toes into Lake Saimaa. If you are lucky enough you may see glimpse of one of the rarest seals in the world the saimaa seal (Pusa hispida saimensis). Worth to visit!
Mountain biking is permitted under Everyman’s Right of access to the land. Always stay on clearly visible tracks and pay attention to other hikers when mountain biking. Follow the rules of litter-free hiking. Safely combustible litter can be burned in fireplaces and organic waste left in toilet compost. Please take all other wastes away when you leave. Lighting a campfire is permitted only at designated campfire sites. When forest fire warning is in effect don't make any open fire. You may pick berries and edible mushrooms. Please do not disturb the wildlife. Please note that toilet is not equipped with toilet paper. Pets must be kept on a leash.
